Rise early at dawn by Abu said abil khair

Image
Rise early at dawn, when our storytelling begins. In the dead of the night,   when all other doors are locked, the door for the lovers to enter opens. Be wide awake in the dark when lovers begin fluttering around the Beloved’s window, likehoming pigeons arriving with flaming bodies. Be an early riser, seek the Beloved in your silence and solitude. Do not let go of the One who receives you at the end. Avoid attachment to all and everyone else. It is the dark of the early morning, Friend. All those thirsting after You have their foreheads on the dust at Your gate. O Beloved source of the Water of Life, pray order Your wine bearer to water this pile of dust Abu said abil khair

The Brown Sahibs

Image
Lord Macaulay could not have imagined that his Minute on Education, written for the British Colonial Administration in 1835, would still be valid 190 years later. His idea to create “Brown Englishmen” in India is alive and well, but with an important difference: the brown sahibs have now arrived in Europe and North America as well, and are hard at work to please their masters. In addition to the Brown Englishman, there is also now the Brown Frenchman, Brown Dutchman, Brown American, and so on. Macaulay’s Brown Englishmen were so thoroughly westernised that, nearly 80 years after the departure of the colonialists, their descendants are still implementing their agendas. It is simply impossible for them to think or act independently; the instinct for subservience runs too strongly in their blood. Without the patronage of the white man, they cannot survive. Almost all colonized people display two characteristics: total subservience to the colonial master, and utter contempt for the...

Balance

Image
Balance means making choices and enjoying those choices. It is also about what you can and what you can’t control. Everything in life is about balancing; it could be work, family, relationships, emotions, situations. Keeping your balance is not always easy. The only things you must be mindful of is not being stuck in a situation. Holding on to hope where the future is known is good but holding on to hope where it’s unknown is the hardest thing to do and the most important. You have to figure out what gives you hope and believe in the hope. Faith and hope work together and one must understand the significance. One can’t live without the other. Hold on to yourself and your values. Hold on to what makes you feel GOOD inside. Hold on to the people who show love and support no matter what. Hang out with people who are hoping for the best. Read books, blogs, articles that inspire you to stay hopeful and faithful, that motivate you to hold on to hope. One of the toughest thing is to l...

Abu Said ABil Khair

Image
Every dawn I bring my heart to You, my lamentations are to soften to ur heart, so You grant me the honor of being a beggar at Your gate, and no one else’s. You play asleep these long nights and I am missing You. You play remote and distant. This tossing and turning,   these long hot dry spells and I am missing You. Who am I? One fed up with his self, at war with sanity. One who burnt with jealousy last night   hearing the true lamentations of a truly broken one   at the Beloved’s gate. Your desires are legion,   while your wealth is carried off through the ten gates Spend one night in purity and desirelessness at the Beloved’s gate. If you aren’t fulfilled, then complain My Beloved,   giver of all needs, and their satisfier too,   pray see to it that I need none but You,   and knock on no door but Yours. O’ Friend of the fallen, untie this knot! Only You can. Have pity on me and this bewildered mind. O’ Bestower of grace, I have nowhere to go, do not...

Charity in islam ....

Image
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful Every good deed is charity. The concept of charity derives from the fact to acknowledge that we own nothing but whatever has been given to us is a blessing by Allah (SWT) and it’s His property. So when we give out something from our pocket, we are actually sharing Allah’s blessings with His mankind and since we don’t own anything, we don’t lose anything by giving out but only gain Allah’s rewards. “Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.” (Quran 3:92) Charity is purely for the sake of Allah and no worldly gain should be intended while making charity. It should only be made to seek Allah’s forgiveness and His blessings. “They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whate...

Remembrance of Allah (Zikr Allah) from Quran and Hadiths...

Image
The Arabic word dhikr means to remember Allah. Which is light on the tongue but heavy on the Scale is the remembrance of Allah . O you who believe! Remember Allāh with much remembrance.(Al-Ahzab 33:41) Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. (Al Imran 3:190) Those who remember Allāh (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire. (Al Imran 3:191) During the hustle and bustle of our frantic lives, the day seems to go by so quickly that it is not until a rare quiet moment late at night that we may realize we have not remembered Allah throughout the day. Apart from the five daily p...

Concentration and Staying  Focused while reciting Quran, doing Zikr and Offering Namaz

Image
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful When you have your plate full, keeping focused isn’t always easy. And when we can’t give our full attention to a task, we can’t give it our best. This can start a cycle of demotivation and non-productivity, unless we pull in the reins and turn it around. It takes a strong resolve to focus, good motivation, and working smartly to beat distractions. Attention is like a muscle. Initially, when you try and hold your attention on something, it may feel that you are using more and more energy and it is fatiguing. That perception is sound, as you have to use energy to maintain attention. However, the more you flex your attention the stronger it becomes, and easier to hold. The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) tells us the first thing that the servant of Allah will be questioned on the Day of Judgment is prayer, Salat, if it’s good, then, all of the other deeds will be accepted regardless if you ...
