How could I ever thank my Friend? No thanks could ever begin to be worthy. Every hair of my body is a gift from Him; How could I thank Him for each hair? Praise that lavish Lord forever Who from nothing conjures all living beings! Who could ever describe His goodness? His infinite glory lays all praise waste. Look, He has graced you a robe of splendor >From childhood's first cries to old age! He made you pure in His own image; stay pure. It is horrible to die blackened by sin. Never let dust settle on your mirror's shining; Let it once grow dull and it will never polish. When you work in the world to earn your living Do not, for one moment, rely on your own strength. Self-worshiper, don't you understand anything yet? It is God alone that gives your arms their power. If, by your striving, you achieve something good, Don't claim the credit all for yourself; It is fate that decides who wins and who loses And all success streams only from the grace o

I seek refuge in God from Satan, the accursed. In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful. “Surely, God and His angels bestow benedictions upon the Prophet. O all you of faith, bless him and salute him with sincere salutation.” Qurān 33:56

Whether your destiny is glory or disgrace, Purify yourself of hatred and love of self. Polish your mirror; and that sublime Beauty From the regions of mystery Will flame out in your heart As it did for the saints and prophets. Then, with your heart on fire with that Splendor, The secret of the Beloved will no longer be hidden... Hazrat Nur al-Din 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad al-Jami ra

Oh! Supreme Lover! Let me leave aside my worries. The flowers are blooming with the exultation of your Spirit. By Allah! I long to escape the prison of my ego and lose myself in the mountains and the desert. These sad and lonely people tire me. I long to revel in the drunken frenzy of your love and feel the strength of Rustam in my hands. I'm sick of mortal kings. I long to see your light. With lamps in hand the sheikhs and mullahs roam the dark alleys of these towns not finding what they seek. You are the Essence of the Essence, The intoxication of Love. I long to sing your praises but stand mute with the agony of wishing in my heart... Hazrat Jalal Udin Rumi ra

Hidden behind the veil of mystery, Beauty is eternally free from the slightest stain of imperfection. From the atoms of the world, He created a multitude of mirrors; into each one of them He cast the image of His Face; to the awakened eye, anything that appears beautiful is only a reflection of that Face. Now that you have seen the reflection, hurry to its Source; in that primordial Light the reflection vanishes completely. Do not linger far from that primal Source; when the reflection fades, you will be lost in darkness. The reflection is as transient as the smile of a rose; if you want permanence, turn towards the Source; if you want fidelity, look to the Mine of faithfulness. Why tear your soul apart over something here one moment and gone the next? Hazrat Nur al-Din 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad al-Jami ra

When my heart became constricted and my paths became narrow I took my hope in Your pardon and forgiveness as an opening and an escape. My sins seemed very great to me but when I compared them to Your forgiveness. I found Your forgiveness to be greater. — Imam Shafi’ (rahimullah)

Ironic, but one of the most intimate acts of our body is death. So beautiful appeared my death – knowing Who then i would kiss, i died a thousand times before i died. “Die before you die,” said the Prophet Muhammad. Have wings that feared ever touched the Sun? i was born when all I once feared – i could love... Hazrat Rabia al-Adawiyya ra

When Hazrat Ali (ra) described the Prophet (sallah ho alihi wa alihi wa slam) he said: He was neither very tall nor excessively short, but was a man of medium size. He had neither very curly nor flowing hair but a mixture of both... He was reddish-white, he had wide black eyes and long eyelashes. He had protruding joints and shoulder-blades... Between his shoulders was the seal of prophecy... He had a finer chest than anyone else, was truer in utterance than anyone else, had the gentlest nature and the noblest lineage. Those who saw him stood suddenly in awe of him and those who shared his acquaintance loved him. Those who described him said they had never seen anyone like him before or since...

Thawban as one of the freed salves of Prophet Muhammad (saw). He as always with him at home or on a journey and he loved the Prophet very much. Once he came to him while his face was pale. Prophet Muhammad (saw) asked him: “What is the matter with you?” He replied, “Nothing. However, when ever you are absent, I feel lonely. When I remember the last Day, I feel afraid, because you will enter supreme Paradise, but if I do not enter, I will not see you again.” Thereupon the following verse was revealed: “And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, then they will be in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His grace from amongst the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!” (Suratal Nisa, 4:69) Prophet Muhammad (saw) said to his followers: “Love me because of the love of God.”

When Moses said to his family: “I have perceived a fire that I might bring you tidings from or a burning brand that you might warm yourselves” (27.7). When he came to it (the fire), he was called that “blessed is that who is in the fire and that who is around it, and glory be to Allah the Lord of all peoples (27.8). O Moses! It is Me, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise (27.9). Throw down your staff.” When he saw it moving like a snake he fled without tracing his steps. [He was called]: “O Moses! Do not fear for messengers are not to fear in My presence (27.10). As for the others, those who do wrong and then substitute good for evil, I am forgiving, merciful (27.11). Enter your hand to your bosom and it will come forth white without harm. These are among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people; they are a rebellious people” (27.12). When Our clear signs came to them, they said: “This is a manifest magic” (27.13). They denied them while their souls were certain they were true, out of wrongdoing an
